Brun de Vian-Tiran maintains 4 basic principles:
Respect: the fibres are collected with respect for the animal species.
Authenticity: the ‘Textiles de France’ label is official recognition that guarantees that all stages of the manufacturing process have taken place in France: spinning, weaving, finishing and tailoring. In their Factory in I’Isle-sur-Sorgue, France, Brun de Vian-Tiran carry out all refining processes for the various types of virgin wool and fine hair.
The environment: The manufacture of Brun de Vian-Tiran goods is carried out with respect for the natural environment and the Sorgue in particular which has been supplying pure water and motive power for processing the fibres since 1808.
Health: Scientific studies over the past thirty years have demonstrated that natural wool fibres offer a great many comfort properties (temperature and moisture control, strength, softness and volume) that no single synthetic fibre has ever been able to match. No allergy to wool fibres has ever been observed and it has been proven that wool does not constitute any specific source for developing allergens. Brun de Vian-Tiran uses natural fibres exclusively.
